Aneri Sree Maha Vishnu Temple is one of the most ancient Temple in Wayanad District. The Temple is believed to have been built ten centuries ago. . It is believed that the temple was destroyed during the invasion of Tipu Sulthan. According to Hindu rituals and belief worshiping of God is the best way of attaining prosperity and peace of mind

Aneri Sree Maha Vishnu Temple is providing Annadanam during festivals and Special occasions to all the devotees who visit this temple. And also in “Muppettu Vyazham”, the first Thursday of every Malayalam Calendar month. Annadanam is one of the five great yagnas in human life. Devotees can also contribute to the Annadanam Fund in cash or kind

This is a Public Religious Institution registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI with the name Aneri Sree Mahavishnu Kshethra Committee. The jurisdiction of the said society coming under the whole locality of Aneri near Kambalakkad, Wayanad District and the Registration No is WYD/CA/238/2022.

The Temple is presently administered by a seven member Committee consists of President, Secretary, Treasurer and four Executive members. Adv. M.D. Venkitsubrahmanian is the patron of the committee.
